We are seeking a dynamic and creative Recreation Coordinator to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will be passionate about organizing activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and creating a vibrant community for seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities and events tailored to the needs and interests of residents.
  • Develop and implement programs that encourage social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Coordinate special outings, celebrations, and holiday events to foster a sense of community.
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure activities align with residents' abilities and health conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes of activities.
  • Promote resident engagement and ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
  • Collaborate with family members and staff to ensure the diverse needs of residents are met.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of residents during all activities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a recreation or activities coordinator role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop engaging programs and events.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of senior care and an understanding of the physical and cognitive needs of elderly residents.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
